For this collaborative project students of the Creative and Therapeutic Art Course engaged with patients, staff and visitors at St Woolos Community and Mental Health Hospital Newport.

The workshop took place in the hospital canteen, where participants were invited to take part in a creative activity making paper daisies.

 

Whilst making we talked with participants about their experiences in the hospital and their memories of the Newport area. The information gained in this research process was used to inform the design of an individual piece of art to be displayed in the Casnewydd Unit.
